Countdown to Budget: Ayush needs more fund allocations

We expect the Union Budget for the financial year 2018-19 to focus on the infrastructure and development of the rural sector. We believe that any boost to the rural sector will play a crucial role in enhancing the rural demand in the FMCG sector. We are looking forward to more fund allocations to the Ayush segments, which can help in leveraging R&D and meet the changing market dynamics. 

We also think that it is the right time for the government to take the ‘Make in India’ initiative to the next level by providing better opportunities to the industry to tap the true market potential. We are very hopeful of the government introducing new initiatives to identify the best practices in the areas of skill development and creating programmes that address the concerns of skilling in the sector.
