The suite helps create simple videos that can be used for everything from corporate presentations and marketing pitches, to learning and development (L&D) modules, product familiarisation demos, video resumes and more. Srinivasa Raghavan is CEO of the four-year-old firm, that he co-founded with his friend Loganathan Kodiyarasu. Raghavan is a serial entrepreneur and has helped companies like Google, AOL, Unilever run video marketing campaigns.

He says, “Following my education in Thanjavur and Coimbatore, I began researching on electronics, which was an area of interest. I realised I was good at visualisation, more than anything else and that prompted me to start our video production house. I knew there was a significant business opportunity in the DIY software space for animation enabled videos. The existing suite of products from vendors like Adobe are quite challenging to master and not within the reach of a small business.”

The bootstrapped company, which has facilities in Bengaluru and Las Vegas apart from Chennai, claims to have launched the world’s first video infographics module. The company has close to 2.6 million users as part of its subscriber base and Raghavan informs us that the conversion rate i.e. from free users to paid users is close to 2 per cent. Talking about the target market for the suite of products offered and how it’s focussing on SMEs and small businesses to expand its reach, he says, “The market for video production of this kind is about 100 mn users and India is a huge potential market for us. On an average, you would end up spending upwards of $5,000 to create a professional quality animated video. Our’s costs a fraction of that. And employees of almost 50 pc Fortune 500 companies use the Suite and we are now trying to upsell to the enterprise software market.”

On the corporate segment, the company is seeing huge adoption in explainer format videos, videos made by the L&D divisions of the company and portrait videos for uploading on social media sites such as Twitter and Instagram.

The company has about 70 employees and has a user base spanning 170 countries.
