L and T MBDA sets up missile integration facility in Coimbatore
L&T MBDA Missile System, a 51:49 joint venture between Larsen and Toubro and European group MBDA, has set up assembly, inert integration (without explosives) and testing facility for Missile Sub-systems and Missile Weapon Launch Systems in Coimbatore.

L&T MBDA Missile Systems on Monday said it has set up the assembly, inert integration (without explosives) and testing facility for Missile Sub-systems and Missile Weapon Launch Systems in Coimbatore in Tamil Nadu.
In a statement, the company said, targeting the domestic and global markets it has set up the assembly, inert integration and testing facility for Missile Sub-systems and Missile Weapon Launch Systems in the special economic zone (SEZ) at Coimbatore.
It forms a part of the Tamil Nadu Defence Industrial Corridor.
The statement is silent on the investment made in the facility.
"L&T MBDA Missile Systems has been working proactively to offer advanced missiles and missile systems to the Indian Armed Forces through domestic production. The creation of this new integration facility at Coimbatore is a first step in this direction. We are showcasing some of these next-gen offerings at the DEFEXPO20 to be held at Lucknow," J.D.Patil, Chairman was quoted as saying in the statement.
The company is a 51:49 joint venture between Larsen and Toubro and European group MBDA.
