Earlier this week, reports did the rounds that Uyarntha Manithan, that marks the debut of Amitabh Bachchan in Tamil has been shelved. The reason behind that is the difference of opinion between the producer of the film and Big B. We contacted SJ Suryah, who said, “All is well with Uyarntha Manithan and the project is not shelved. We will be resuming the shoot of the film soon.” Talking about the issue further, through a text message, the actor-filmmaker told us, “There is a small disagreement between Big B sir and the producer. It can be sorted out and we will be taking the film forward.”

Suryah also added that he will be taking off to Mumbai to meet Amitabh soon. “After the release of Monster on May 17, I will be going to Mumbai to sort this issue out, which is minor. The director of this film Tamilvaanan and I have faced several roadblocks ever since we started this project and have overcome them to take where the film is today. Big B himself had tweeted pictures from the sets of the film on the third day out of love and respect for the kind of work we have been doing. So, things will be fine and Uyarntha Manithan will be back on track,” he said.

Apart from SJ Suryah and Amitabh Bachchan, the film also stars Ramya Krishnan in an important role.
