Superstar Rajinikanth’s Darbar has entered its final and long schedule in Mumbai and rain-related sequences are being shot. An exclusive update we have from Team Darbar is that former Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh’s father and actor Yograj Singh is playing a pivotal role in the film. A source close to the movie unit told DT Next, “Yograj Singh will be seen in an intense fight sequence alongside Superstar, which is also the opening scene in the film. Darbar is set to be a visual treat as Santosh Sivan’s cinematography is at its best so far. Due to heavy rain the team had planned to shift the shoot to Chandigarh. It was Santosh who insisted that he needs rain to shoot the scenes and they will look natural in Mumbai backdrop.”

The source also added that Suniel Shetty is yet to begin shooting for his portions and is expected to join the shoot in the coming weeks. Darbar, directed by AR Murugadoss, has its music by Anirudh Ravichander and cinematography by Santosh Sivan. The opening song has been crooned by veteran singer SP Balasubrahmanyam. The movie will hit the screens for Pongal 2020.
