Last week, Singa Penne song made it to internet through back doors and went viral among Tamil cine-goers. The makers flung into action to reduce the damage by removing all the pirated links online, but it turned out to be an impossible task to prevent it as it appeared in one or the other platform.
The song has been composed by two-time Oscar Award-winning musician AR Rahman, who has also sung the track penned by Vivek Velmurugan, along with Sasha Tirupathi. It is a powerful song dedicated to women.
The lyrical video begins with Atlee and lyricist Vivek Velmurugan giving a rough idea to AR Rahman about their expectation from the track as they ask to come out with an anthem on women.
The video showcases AR Rahman singing the song with two women playing the western rhythm behind him. The song starts with the lyric "Maadhare" and explains that men should respect, encourage women for their contribution to the society as well as the family.
Later in the song, comes Shashaa Tirupati who gives the flavour of Indian classical music. Thus, it becomes a typical ARR song with Western and Indian fusion. It also makes us remember the song "Ella Pugazhum Iraivan Oruvanuke" in the movie Azhagiya Tamil Magan that keeps us motivated whenever we hear it.
Therefore, "Singa Penne" has become an instant addiction and makes us anxiously wait for the movie release to watch Thalapathy Vijay's performance sync this motivational number as soon as it hits the big screens.
Bigil is a sports drama which is believed to be about a coach, played by Vijay, taking the Tamil Nadu football team to new heights. Thalapathy reportedly plays dual roles of a gangster father and a son, bringing a lot of suspense and mystery to the story.
