The latest we hear is that Saif Ali Khan and Aamir Khan have been finalised as the leads in the remake of this neo-noir action thriller, which was one of the most successful films in Tamil cinema.
The husband-wife duo Pushkar-Gayathri, who directed the original, would helm the remake as well. A source close to the team said, “Vikram Vedha Hindi remake will go on floors in March 2020, and the makers have finalised the leads. While Saif Ali Khan plays the role of a cop, Aamir Khan will be seen reprising Vijay Sethupathi’s role, that of a gangster. An official announcement will be made in the coming weeks. Other cast and crew are yet to be finalised.”
We also hear that Pushkar-Gayathri might do a direct Tamil film before shooting for this flick.
The Hindi remake of Vikram Vedha will be produced by Y Not Studios and Plan C Studios, which is a collaboration of Reliance Entertainment and Neeraj Pandey’s Friday Filmworks. The story revolves around the life of a notorious gangster and an encounter specialist. It’s about how their professional enmity turns into a personal one. The film also had Shradha Srinath, Kathir and Varalaxmi in pivotal roles.
