There have been talks that the film is the remake of Anushka Sharma’s hit film NH 10. The trailer of Trisha’s Garjanai was unveiled by Vijay Sethupathi earlier this week which had fetched positive response. There have been talks that the film is the remake of Anushka Sharma’s hit film NH 10. “Garjanai is not a remake of NH 10. It is a fresh film and that was written keeping our audience’s in mind,” the director of the film Sundar Balu told DT Next. The trailer of the film involved some high-octane sequences. Sundar clarified that the film doesn’t involve fast-paced stunt sequences. “We have included only the elements that the script requires, and we haven’t gone overboard. Garjanai’s runtime is just a little over 120 minutes and it has a crisp content. For instance, Trisha will look exhausted in the climax scene. If she fights 10 people when she is tired, the film will become a laughing stock for the audience,” he said.

Meanwhile, there will be no dearth of mass appeal in the film the director has revealed. “In films that has male leads, the hero avenges the loss of his loved ones. In Garjanai, it will be the other way round. Trisha has a mass appeal, which was evident with her role of Janaki in 96. She has carried this role, that will elevate her mass appeal in the best way she could. Trisha is one of the cooperative stars a director could ask for,” he concluded. Garjanai is all set to hit the screens in September.
