Donning the khaki for the second time after Kuttram 23, Arun Vijay told DT Next, “In Kuttram 23, I played an Assistant Commissioner of Police, whereas I play a sub-inspector in this film. We had to study minute detailing for the role. For instance, a commissioner’s uniform will be a tight fit role but an official in a sub inspector cadre wears it a little slack. There are many such things you will get to see in this crime thriller.” He immediately added that the film will cater to the audience across sections.
“Despite the movie falling in this genre, it will be a family entertainer with the right blend of emotions. When GNR narrated the script to me this was the first thing that came to my mind and one of the reasons to produce the script. I had learnt the nuances of production with Kuttram 23 and Thadam as Inder’s Redhan The Cinema People too is like my home production. I’m enjoying the process. Moreover, the film has a strong technical crew like cinematographer Gopi, who is known for capturing the right emotions,” he tells us.
The film set in the backdrop of Chennai will be shot in different schedules, across 60 days. “It is a big budget film with many layers in the story. I will begin shooting for Agni Siragugal after completing the first schedule of this film,” he revealed. Pallak Lalwani, who was last seen in Sixer plays the female lead. “Though she is a Punjabi, her features resemble a south Indian girl. We decided to bring her on board while shooting for Thadam. Her role in the film will be unique and her performance will stand out,” he concluded. Arun Vijay has Mafia, Boxer and Agni Siragugal in the pipeline.
