Pradeep Ranganathan to direct Vikram’s next?

On Tuesday, several reports said that the director is all set to begin the shoot of his next that will have Chiyan Vikram playing the lead.

The grapevine also has it that the director has already narrated the script to Vikram, which will be a family entertainer and the film is in its pre-production stage. When we contacted the actor’s spokesperson, he told us, “These are baseless rumours. Vikram sir will begin shooting for Ajay Gnanamuthu’s film. He has not committed to any other films after that and will begin shooting for Ponniyin Selvan.” Vikram will be playing Karikala Chozhan in Mani Ratnam’s magnum opus. “Though the shoot of the film begins later this year in Thailand, Vikram will join the unit of Ponniyin Selvan from early next year,” he clarified.
