There were speculations that Seenu Ramasamy and Ilaiyaraaja had a spat as the former was not invited for composing sessions and he wasn’t called for discussions as well. However, Seenu Ramasamy later clarified that these are baseless rumours and he is in good terms with the maestro.

The latest we hear is that Seenu Ramasamy is not happy with the way Yuvan Shankar Raja, who is also the producer of the film, dealing with the film’s business. Apparently, Yuvan Shankar Raja has sold the film’s overseas rights to a popular production house for a huge sum without informing him. “According to their agreement, Seenu Ramasamy has equal rights in the film’s overseas business. However, Yuvan sold it to a company without informing him,  creating a misunderstanding between the two. That’s one of the reason’s for delay in the release,” a source said. Maamanithan has Vijay Sethupathi in the lead.
