Simbu’s mom comes to his rescue, negotiates with producers and wins them over

And till recently, it’s been dad T Rajendar who is always rescuing Simbu from sticky situations. However, this time, when STR was asked to appear in front of the Tamil Nadu Film for his prolonged issue of absenteeism from the sets of Mufti, it wasn’t TR, but mom Usha Rajendar who went along with him for the first round of meeting on last Saturday. This was followed by another round of discussions later that week and a source who was present at the meeting said that was Usha who did all the talking to ad hoc committee members Bharathi Raja, SVe Shekar and Sivasakthi Pandian among others. While most people were of the opinion that Simbu is not serious about his work, she assured that her son will shoot from 10am till 5pm instead of showing up at the shoot at 5 pm. And it looks like his mom’s efforts have paid off, because the makers of Maanadu, Suresh Kamatchi and team are thinking of reviving the project in near future.
