Nithya in talks for Dhanush-Jawahar’s next
Recently, Sun Pictures who had bankrolled Vijay’s Sarkar and Rajinikanth’s Petta, announced that they would fund Dhanush’s 44th film. There were also reports that Mithran Jawahar, who had earlier worked with Dhanush in three films, will direct this project as well.

The latest we hear is that actress Nithya Menen, who garnered rave reviews for her performance as a quadriplegic in Psycho, has been roped in to play the female lead. A source in the know of things says, “It was Dhanush who suggested to Mithran to rope in Nithya Menen as the female lead. She listened to the script and agreed to be a part of it. However, she is yet to sign the official agreement.”
The interesting news is that the film will have story, screenplay and dialogues written by Dhanush himself. The makers are planning to begin shooting for it once Dhanush completes his projects with Mari Selvaraj and Karthick Naren. The actor is also awaiting the release of his upcoming film with Karthik Subbaraj.
