New poster of Vijay’s Master carries message of hope
In a bid to keep the hype surrounding the movie going, the crew released a poster with a message to stay positive about the film’s release

Actor Vijay’s film, Master, which was supposed to hit screens on April 9, has left the makers and fans disappointed as the lockdown continues and is widely expected to be extended. The coronavirus pandemic has brought the world to its knees as it has effectively shut down the globe. The movie industry has faced severe heat forcing producers to postpone the release of their films.
However, in a bid to keep the spirit and the movie’s hype alive, the makers of Master released a new poster. Director Lokesh Kanagaraj shared the new poster on Twitter and captioned the post, “Survival first! Celebration next! #master will rise on the right time! stay home stay safe!” (sic).
Screenwriter Rathnakumar also shared a group selfie of the stars and crew of Master. Rathna captioned the photo saying, “#Master would have released by now if #CoronaOutbreak didn’t happen. Can see lot of sad tweets. As a fan it hurts big. Pollution, Protests, Raid & now this. Anyway we will have the last laugh. Survival First. Celebrations Later. Suddenly this selfie looks Nostalgic” (sic).
Master is written by Lokesh Kanagaraj, Rathnakumar and Pon Parthiban and has Malavika Mohanan and Andrea Jeremiah in lead roles with Vijay Sethupathi The new poster from the film as the main antagonist.
