“I am collaborating with CrowdWave, a fund-raising platform, to raise funds for those in need. All the proceeds from this online session will be donated to charity. Blindfold yoga is a unique form of yoga that is practised with a scarf or sleep mask to cover your eyes. When using a blindfold, external and visual stimuli is removed. This helps in bringing more focus on your breathing and internal system, rather than movement. It becomes more like a meditative practise,” says Mansi.

The yoga expert also opines that blindfold yoga eliminates competition. “Since you aren’t seeing other participants performing yoga, there is no room for competition. You will be focussing on yourself throughout the entire class. The upcoming session will start with a brief introduction to the asanas. Then, participants will be asked to put the blindfold and practise those asanas. Those who feel claustrophobic with blindfold can just close their eyes and be part of it,” she adds.
