After retiring from the Department of Geology and Mines, Tamil Nadu, I took up writing to bring a difference in the society that we live in. The huge success of my first book titled, Nizhaladum Nizhalgal encouraged to continue with my works.

My second book, Vazhkai, has met with similar acceptance. The book is about how to lead a meaningful life, described with anecdotes. I have been requested to give copies of the book to the 32 district libraries across the State. My other works include books like Ninaivu Siragugal, Tik Tik Payanam, Kudumbam and Kadhal Oru Kaviyam, all released in a short span of time. I wrote my first book only to record my life journey.

After reading my books, one retired judge confided that he wanted to pen his thoughts as a book, too. Many have told me how their lives have changed after reading my books. It only gives me an immense pleasure. I strongly believe in the power of words; they can leave a lasting effect on people. While I was working, I presented an All India Radio programme titled Vazhkai Vazhikatti which was widely appreciated. I am now working on three other books. They are being proof-read and will take a couple of months before going to print. After my retirement, I wanted to use my time productively. I want my future generations to have knowledge about their ancestors.
