I  came to Perungalathur 40 years ago, right after I got married. I was an electrician. But, I had to quit the profession as I have grown old. When I turned 57, I joined a private firm. Three years later, I started working in an ice cream parlour in the locality. I have three children and all of them are married. Now, I live with my wife. I don’t like to take off and work on all seven days. This has been the same ever since I started working as an electrician. Even now, I work at the ice cream parlour from 9 am to 9 pm. The owner of the ice cream parlour is in Chengalpattu and I take care of the shop. He has helped me several times and always supports me. I pray for everyone and want all of us to live peacefully. I try to help the needy whenever I can manage to get some extra money. I am happy with my life. I am working even at this age so that I can provide for my family. Even though I like to be extremely active and work more, I have become weak physically, making physical exertion difficult. But I am doing what I can and will continue to do so till my body fails.
