Rotary Clubs help during flood

Rotary Clubs distribute Rs. 2.5 crore worth food and relief materials to flood victims of Chennai

The organization plans to release nearly Rs. 1 crore worth aid further; distributing shelter boxes each worth Rs. 3300 to around 3000 beneficiaries and consisting of dress material, stove, bedsheet, blanket, rice, sanitary napkins, candles and coils. In the first phase, relief materials including blankets, bedsheets, mats, pillows, dresses, napkins, breads, biscuits, and water were distributed. Also clubs from every part of the state have sent food materials including rice, rave, atta, dal, oil, and vegetables to feed the hunger stricken people. More than 700 Rotarians and volunteers were involved in the field work to reach out to people with assistance that has been received as 62 lorry loads.
