Shruti celebrates her 30th birthday at a blind school

While most stars from Kollywood choose to celebrate their birthday at exotic locations, party hard or go for a fancy dinner with close friends and family, actress Shruti Haasan decided to ring in her 30th birthday in a noble manner

Shruti participated in ‘Save the Blind Children’ programme organised by Ungalukagha Charitable Trust and Rotary Club of Madras T.Nagar at The Little Flower Home for Blind on Thursday. She was seen cutting a mega-size birthday cake, having lunch and engaging in conversation with the kids there. 

“It is so nice to celebrate my birthday in the city among my people after so long. I am overwhelmed by the love and affection showered by these kids here. It is my most memorable birthday till date,” she said. The actress spent more than an hour with the inmates of the home and also distributed learning aids like computers, musical instruments, CD players, refrigerators, stationary items and other useful items to them.
