3 new trains for Chennai in Southern Railway’s time-table

Southern Railway (SR) on Friday introduced six new trains, including two connecting Chennai to Ahmedabad and one from Chennai to Santragachi.

Releasing the time table for the year at the zonal headquarters, southern railway general manager Vashishta Johri said that two new fully air conditioned weekly Humsafar Expresses, train no: 19423/19424 connecting Chennai to Ahmedabad and train no: 14716/14715 connecting Tiruchy to Sriganganagar would be operated.  

Likewise, two weekly second class only superfast Antyodaya expresses, train no: 22842/22841 connecting Chennai to Santragachi and train no: 22878/22877 connecting Ernakulam to Howrah would be introduced soon. An air conditioned double decker Uday express (train no: 22666/22665) would be operated six days a week between Coimbatore and Bangalore. 

Also, a weekly superfast express (train no: 22838/22837) would be operated between Ernakulam and Hatia. Date of introduction of the trains would be notified later.
