When Ramkumar’s father’s counsel made a mention about this before Justice Kirubakaran, the judge directed the council to move a petition in this regard if there were provisions in law to provide such post-mortem reports.

A team of doctors, including a forensic expert from AIIMS, conducted the post-mortem after a long delay owing to a string of litigations leading up to the Supreme Court seeking for a private doctor to be part of the post-mortem process.

On September 18, Ramkumar, the lone suspect in the sensational murder of Infosys techie Swathi at the Nungambakkam railway station, allegedly committed suicide by “pulling and biting into a live electric wire” inside the prison.
