Techie’s wife takes fatal leap from third floor at Puthupakkam

Police said Sathya Meena, wife of Ilavarasan who works as a software engineer with TCS, fell from the terrace of their three-storied apartment on Thursday morning. 

Sathya had gone to the terrace to dry clothes after putting her two children, a 4-year-old boy and a six-month-old girl to sleep.

Police said, when the neighbours rushed after they found her in a pool of blood on the floor, she told them that had jumped off from the terrace. The neighbours informed her husband and rushed her to a private hospital nearby. Mamallapuram DSP Sekar said, Meena, was conscious and was talking well when she was taken to the hospital. 

However, she did not respond to treatment at the hospital and died. Police said, Meena, originally belonged to Tiruchy and had come to Kelambakkam about one year ago.

The reasons for her taking the extreme step are not immediately known. They have registered a case based on the complaint lodged by the Meena’s husband, Ilavarasan, who in his complaint said that his wife had accidentally fallen off the building.
