Chennai textile shop burgled
A gang of unidentified persons gained entry into a textile shop by drilling a hole on the wall and decamped with readymade outfits worth Rs 75,000 at Abiramapuram in the city during the early hours on Thursday.

Police said the miscreants had drilled a big hole on the wall, entered into the shop and had robbed the textiles. Shop owner Vijayan, in a complaint to the police, stated that a huge amount of cash and clothes were missing.
A resident of suburban Ayyappanthanagal, he has reportedly kept ready, apparel consignments to the tune of more than Rs 2 lakh for sale in view of Deepavali festival.
