Marudhu brothers anniversary peaceful

At Kalayarkovil in Sivagangai district, the native of Maruthu Panidyan brothers, thousands of people visited their memorial and garlanded their statues. The Thursday function was largely limited to common people as leaders from major political parties had garlanded the statue on October 24. 

Large number of women took Mulaipari, folk music and dance were also performed at the memorial. Many people from Madurai garlanded the statue of Maruthu brothers at Teppakulam in Madurai and then proceeded towards Kalaiyarkovil. Political leaders such as Tamil Nadu Congress President, Thirunavukkarasar, Tiruvadanai MLA, Karunas, and several other local leaders garlanded the statue of Maruthu brothers. 

Women took Mulaipari at Madurai district too. The Guru Pooja was celebrated at various places in Madurai district such as Melur, Tirumangalam and so on. Similarly celebrations were witnessed at Theni and Dindigul districts in a grand manner.
