9 nominations accepted for Nellithope seat
Nine of the 11 nomination papers filed for the November 19 assembly by-election to the Nellithoppe constituency was found intact on scrutiny today and they have all been accepted.

Returning officer Malarkannan told newspersons that the nomination papers of Congress Candidate and Chief Minister V Narayanasamy, AIADMK Candidate Om Sakthi Sekher, Naam Tamizhar Katchi Candidate Ravi alias Arumugham, JD(U) Candidate Arumugham and five others were found valid and accepted while that of an independent and AIADMK substitute candidate Tamizh Sengolan were rejected.
The last date for withdrawal of withdrawal of nominations is November 5 and the polling will be held on November 19.
