Nadigar Sangam changes meet venue after threats
Office-bearers of the Nadigar Sangam has announced a change in the venue of their annual general body meeting following threats from unnamed sources on Saturday.

The annual general body meeting will now be held at the Nadigar Sangam building premises at Habibullah Road on November 27 with ample police protection.
Nadigar Sangam president Nassar, general secretary Vishal and treasurer Karthi made the announcement while addressing the media after holding a meeting with the Chennai city police commissioner S George.
The meeting, which lasted for more than an hour, was regarding the change of venue and the police security to be provided.
Actors Nassar said that the decision was taken after threats were made from various quarters following the announcement of the annual general body meeting at Loyola College in Nungambakkam.
“We want to have a peaceful event,” he said. The actors however withheld from revealing the source of the threats.
Earlier, it had been decided that the event would take place on November 27 at the Loyola College campus. On November 22, Karthi and Ponnvannan had come to the Commissioner’s office to seek police protection for the general body meeting.
The association has sought police security claiming that many famed actors will be felicitated at the event.
