Electrician murdered in Medavakkam

The victim has been identified as Arivalagan (35), who lived with his wife Surekha in Pillaiyar Koil Street in Gandhi Nagar. The couple has a five-yearold daughter. Arivalagan worked as an electrician in Sathyam Cinemas on Anna Salai. After initial investigation, police said that two persons entered the house and stabbed Arivalagan with a glass bottle before fleeing the spot. He was rushed to Chrompet Government Hospital by the neighbours after Surekha raised an alarm. However, he was declared brought dead.  Police suspect that Surekha may have played a role in the murder.
