Train no: 18495 Rameswaram – Bhubaneswar Express has been partially cancelled between Rameswaram and Tiruchchirappalli. The train would start from Tiruchchirappalli to Bhubaneswar.

Similarly, train no: 12606 Karaikkudi – Chennai Egmore Pallavan Express has been partially cancelled between Karaikkudi and Tiruchchirappalli. It will run from Tiruchchirappalli to Chennai Egmore.

Such was the nature of service disruption that Egmore bound Nellai Express from Tirunelveli has been diverted via Nagercoil, Trivandrum, Ernakulam, Palakkad, Erode, Salem and Jolarpet. It would take a few more days to restore normalcy in express train service, SR sources said.
