Chudalamani’s parents had lodged a missing complaint with the Poonamalliee police and while the police were investigating the missing case, the boy’s body was found in an abandoned well at Kolappanchery. Police then retrieved the decomposed body and sent it for a post mortem. Police said there were just bruises and no major injuries on the body of Chudalamani. Police said Chudalamani could have accidentally fallen in to the well. “We are awaiting the post mortem report. But initially we have not got anything to suspect it as a murder,” Vellavedu inspector Nagalingam said. However, Chudalamani’s parents have raised doubts over his death and demanded a detailed investigation. The parents had alleged that a group of students had assaulted Chudalamani on February 6, when he was on his way to the school along with friends in a bus. Police said the students from Kolappanchery stopped Chudalamani and assaulted him and a complaint in this regard has already been given to the Vellavedu police station.
