The missing dog Luke is a black colour Labrador cross-breed with white tummy and white paws.
Police said that German engineer Steffan Kaggrah and his wife Janin Scharrenberg are very fond of their dog Luke and are even ready to provide a reward to those who will help them trace their pet animal. Notices have also been distributed at main spots in Marina police limits besides the posters on social media.
The couple, who are on their world tour, lost their dog during their visit to the Marina Beach on July 8. While witnesses said they saw an auto driver taking it in his vehicle, there was no development since then. Recently, the police had registered an FIR about the missing dog and intensified the search operation.
Ruling out the possibilities that the dog could have been abducted to be sold in the canine market, police officials said someone must have stolen to keep it in their house.
Steffan Kaggrah and Janin Scharrenberg are leaving for Singapore on July 17 and police said they will return to India again. The couple found the dog on a road in Greece during their tour and adopted it.
