Kalpakkam employee found dead near liquor shop
A 52-year-old scientific assistant at the atomic power plant in Kalpakkam, was found dead near a liquor shop on Thursday morning.

The body of Andrews Rajaiah, a resident of Atomic Power Plant quarters in Kalpakkam, was found in front of a Tasmac near Sadras village. It bore multiple injuries, said the police.
Preliminary inquiries suggest that a drunken brawl might have led to the murder, said the police. Rajaiah’s body was handed over to his wife Mallika who was sub-inspector. Further investigation is underway, said the police.
In another incident, Saraswati, (47), a resident of Karumbur Village, was found dead at her home with multiple stab injuries on Wednesday night. The police suspect her husband Chandran’s role in the incident. No arrests, however, have been made yet.
