Less showers for next two days: Regional Meteorological Centre

Regional Meteorological Centre has said that incidence of rain will slow down across the state for the next two days, while some districts will experience scattered rains.

According to weathermen, on Wednesday, there was a well marked low pressure area over Western-Central Bay of Bengal which intensified into a depression and moved northwards on Thursday. 

“Many parts of Chennai might get light showers to moderate spells of rains on Thursday night, while other areas will see cloudy skies,” said an official. 

K Srikanth, a weather blogger said, “Once the depression formed over Western-Central Bay of Bengal made landfall, there is a high possibility for onset of NE monsoon after 2-3 days.”
