‘Water unit rep’ robs woman in apartment

Police said Parameshwari and her friend Mala were at the former’s flat, when a man claiming to be a representative of a popular water purifier brand visited and told them he had come to service the device installed in the house. While Parameshwari was telling him that she had not made any such request, the man pushed her into the house and locked the door. 

Robbing her of the jewellery and cell phone at knife point, the youth pushed both the women into the kitchen and locked them up. Later, the youth took the cash in the bedroom locker and escaped. 

A while later, on hearing the cries of both the women, neighbours rushed to the house and rescued them. KK Nagar police have registered a case.
