Subramanian, who took part in the ground-breaking ceremony of construction for a fair price shop using his LAD in Saidapet, said that it has been over a year since Rs 2 crore was allocated from his LAD, but the authorities have only issued orders for Rs 40 lakh worth works.
Funds were allocated from his LAD last year for supplying equipment to five gyms, constructing ECG room and toilet for Saidapet hospital and several works worth Rs 27 lakh in the Government Girls Higher Secondary School on Anna Salai in his constituency, but the government has yet to issue works orders for the works, the former Chennai Mayor alleged.
Subramanian also took a dig at state Transport Minister MR Vijayabhaskar for retorting that transport corporation assets were first mortgaged during the 1996-2011 DMK tenure, while replying to DMK working president MK Stalin’s comments. Subramanian alleged that the corporations have suffered deep debt due to mismanagement of the Minister.
