2 college students killed in road accident
Two college students died when their bike rammed a stationary van on Outer Ring Road (ORR) near Malayambakkam on Wednesday.

The students identified as Bhuvaneshwaran (19) and Hariharan (19) from Kundrathur were proceeding towards Vandalur when the mishap took place.
In the impact, both fell on the road and suffered grievous head injuries. Passers-by rushed them to a private hospital in Porur, where they were declared brought dead.
While Bhuvaneswaran was a second-year student of an arts college in Mangadu, Hariharan was doing his B.Com at a college in Washermanpet. Poonamallee police have registered a case and are investigating.
Labourer killed
In another incident, a 38-year-old labourer Sigamani was riding in a bike along with his friend Raja and when in a bid to avoid hitting a cow standing on the road in Navithankulam on Tuesday, the duo fell off the bike.
Passers-by rushed the duo to Sriperumpudur Government Hospital where Sigmani died without responding to treatment. Raja’s condition is said to be critical, said police sources. Police have registered a case and are investigating.
