Two boys run over by buses in different places
In two separate tragic incidents in Kancheepuram district, two school students were run over by government buses.

A 14-year-old boy was crushed under the wheels of a bus and died on the spot at Anna bus stand in Tambaram Sanatorium on Thursday.
The deceased, Runesh Kumar, was a Class 8 student of a government school in Kancheepuram and had come to his relative’s house in Tambaram along with his parents. The tragedy took place around 6 pm. Police said that Runesh in order to secure seats, boarded the moving bus through the front entrance when it entered the bus stand. However, he lost balance and fell on the ground. He died on the spot after he was run over by the rear wheels.
In another incident, a Class 10 boy who was travelling on the footboard in a crowded bus fell and was run over near Madhuranthagam. The deceased, Chandru, is a Class 10 student of Government Boys’ School in Thirukazhukundram. The incident took place near Thathalur on Wednesday when he was travelling in a govt bus bound for Madurantakam. His body was sent to Chengalpattu GH for post-mortem.
