Man steals expensive cycles, held

As many as 30 bicycles and 3.5 sovereigns of jewels were seized from Raja alias Sridhar, a resident of Mambakkam in Kancheepuram district. Following complaints of several cycle thefts in Ashok Nagar, police combed the CCT footage and found out that the same person was involved in the thefts. On Tuesday morning, police secured Sridhar when he tried to escape with a bicycle. During investigation, he confessed to the crime, said police.
