Dhanyasree’s family in need of funds for treatment

Dhanyasree was out for a walk with her grandfather on Sunday night when R Siva fell on her from the fourth floor, seriously injuring the child. She was taken to Apollo Hospital in Tondiarpet before being shifted to the main hospital on Greams Road.
“Her spinal cord is fractured and there is a clot in her brain. We have also been told that the pressure in her brain is extremely high,” said her paternal uncle S Thiyagu. “Dhanyasree’s parents are sitting outside the CCU all day in the hope of she regaining consciousness soon,” he added.
Her father, Sreedhar, a drinking water can supplier, and her homemaker mother have already spent Rs one lakh each, which, however, falls way short of the money required. Desperate for support, the parents have turned to social media to raise funds to continue the treatment. “An MRI scan was taken, and we are in the hope of getting the reports on Wednesday to get a clear picture of what treatment needs to be done,” added Thiyagu.
Philanthropists willing to help the family may reach out to them on 7092380119.
