History-sheeter’s car seized after accident

The incident took place when Vairavan of Kundrathur was returning to Chennai after appearing in a Chengalpattu court for a trial in connection with a case. Infamous for kidnapping and kangaroo courts, Vairavan has also been charged with murder. He took his aides in two other cars. 

When they crossed Moongilpettai, one of his cars hit a two-wheeler rider who fell to the ground and sped away. The onlookers gave the car a chase and intercepted a few metres away. 

They managed to nab the car driver Silambarasan (30). On information, Siva Kanchi police rushed to the spot and secured him for interrogation. Police have launched a hunt for Vairavan and his aides.
