Initiated by Governor Banwarilal Purohit, the Tamil version of the Prime Minister’s speech was printed in a hand book titled Honey drops to beat exam stress (The rukkana Thean Mozhigal).
Many students said that the contents of the 76-page book helped them in gaining confidence to face their exams. Sources said teachers were also involved to explain the content of the book for students studying below Class 5.
According to a senior education department official, the book contains a total of 20 questions that the students asked Modi and replies that the Prime Minister gave in a crisp manner.
In February, the Prime Minister took questions on a range of subjects, including nervousness, anxiety, concentration, peer pressure, parents’ expectations, and the role of teachers. Elaborate arrangements were made by the school authorities across the country, including in Tamil Nadu, to enable thousands of students to watch the session ahead of their annual examinations.
“I liked the answer from the Prime Minister in which he explained about how Yoga helps to beat the stress during examinations,” S Kalaiselvi, a Class IX student at a government high school at Nungambakkam said. She also pointed out how the Prime Minister tackled a student who asked him how well his government was prepared for the elections. A government teacher said the interaction was not merely advice to the students.
“The answers were equipped with humour and several examples,” she said. The governor launched the book at a function at Raj Bhavan last week.
