While the yearly campaign was launched to celebrate the spirit of cancer survivors, it has served to benefit several patients across the globe. “Survivors are encouraged to capture a SelfV, or a self-video, where they talk about their fight and encourage others,” said G Amarnath, a medical doctor and campaign member.
“If cancer enters your life, then there is definitely an exit too and the exit door has ‘strength’ written on it. Keep that strength and cancer shall depart,” said Amol Gupte, a cancer survivor, in his SelfV Survivor Story.
The fourth edition was launched by Pink Hope Cancer Patient Support group and HCG – The Specialist in Cancer Care. On the occasion, a book ‘To my Beloved Rose,’ by P N Kamala, winner of SelfV Survivor Stories last year, was also launched.
