‘Easy’ Class 12 board exams conclude
Class 12 students heaved a sigh of relief as their month-long hectic study schedule ended, with the conclusion of their final board exam on Friday.

Around 8.66 lakh candidates from 6,903 schools in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry appeared for the examinations which commenced on March 1. Students felt that most of the question papers were easy to attend.
“This time all the exams were easy to attend as questions came within the textbook portions. However, Mathematics paper was a bit tough,” K Sivakumar, a commerce group student studying at a private school in Pallavaram said. According to him, there is a possibility of many students scoring centum, especially in Accountancy and Commerce. Even teachers felt that this year the students might fare well.
“Even Tamil paper was easy. Usually, student would find difficult in facing Tamil exams. But this time it looks easy,” said S Kavitha, a teacher of a Higher Secondary school in Pammal. Sources from Directorate of Government Examinations here said that there were no major reports of the students indulging in malpractices.
“We ensured the smooth conduct of exams in all centres with 4,000 flying squad and standing squad being deployed,” said a senior official. He added the results of the Class 12 board exams will be announced around mid-May.
