CAHO’s 2-day conference begins in city

The Consortium of Accredited Healthcare Organisations (CAHO) inaugurated its fourth international conference, CAHOCON 2018, on Saturday

With an aim of integrating knowledge and identifying a range of tactics that may be used to respond to these challenges, the two-day conference provides the important source of learning about the challenges faced in improving quality healthcare. 

Stating that the conference, themed ‘Timely Intervention is the Key to Quality’ is focussing on introducing fresh and innovative ideas, Dr Vijay Agarwal, president, CAHO - a not for profit institution with the goal to boost the quality of healthcare by promoting the collaboration between hospitals and labs accredited with NABH, NABL and JCI, said, “It will help address various challenges facing the nation’s healthcare industry and build a world-class healthcare ecosystem.” 

In her speech at the conference Dr Preetha Reddy, Vice Chairperson, Apollo Hospitals Group, focussed on how the Indian healthcare has become one of the best globally and the importance of strong commitment to transparency, accountability and ethics, and quality in health care. 

Over 600 national and international delegates, including healthcare leaders and policy makers are participating in the conclave.
