Woman dies after accident

The deceased, Parameshwari, was riding pillion with her husband Sekar on his bike along with their two children, Lakshmi (8) and Lavanya (5), from Puzhal to Madhavaram. As they reached Rettaimalai Srinivasan street near TNT Road around 9.30 pm, an unknown vehicle rammed the bike and sped away from the scene. Parameshwari and the children suffered injuries, but Sekar escaped unhurt. The three were rushed to Stanley Hospital where Parameshwari died on Monday. 

The two children are said to be out of danger. Sekar, who works as a driver, has filed a case with the Madhavaram traffic police, who are now searching for the vehicle involved in the accident.
