Chennai: Black flags hoisted atop houses of political party leaders as PM Modi arrives
Black flags were hoisted atop of DMK Patriarch M Karunanidhi's home, party office at Arivalayam and other leaders' houses protesting against Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to the city without constituting Cauvery Management Board (CMB).

Sources said at Villupuram,Virudhunagar, Nagai districts several activists belonging to various opposition parties hoisted black flags atop their houses.
The hoisting of black flags atop of houses of opposition leaders was in response to a call given by DMK Working President MK Stalin who appealed to the people to hoist black flags atop their houses on April 12 when Prime Minister Narendra Modi visits Tamil Nadu.
Mr Stalin started the sixth day of "Cauvery Rights Retrieval Rally" from Vaitheeswaran Koil this morning by wearing black shirt. Most of the DMK activists who participated in the rally weared black shirts.
DMK women wing leader and MP Ms Kanimozhi resorted to black flag agitation against Mr Modi's visit along with other women members near Panagal Park at Saidapet in the city. The agitators also resorted to black flag agitation at Alandhur railway station, party sources said.
Prime Minister is in the city to inaugurate Defence Expo-2018.
