Waiter murdered by colleague at city restaurant

The victim S Enesh Rai also hailed from Darjeeling and joined the Robot Restaurant on OMR recently, where Anil had been working over a year. It is said that Anil Kurung often fought with Enesh Rai as the latter was his junior.

Around 9 pm on Monday, Anil Kurung intervened in Enesh Rai's work leading to an argument between them. In a fit of rage, Anil took a kitchen knife and stabbed Enesh in his chest. Fellow workers rushed Enesh, who fell unconscious, to Global Hospitals, where he was declared brought dead.

On information, Semmanchery police retrieved the body and sent it to Royapettah Government Hospital for post-mortem. Anil Kumar was arrested and the knife was seized from. Police are interrogating him. The restaurant was closed on Tuesday due to the murder.
