Man wanted by Delhi police detained at Chennai airport

The accused identified as Godwin, a city resident, was secured by immigration officials. He was intercepted when his passport was scanned after he landed in the city in a Hong Kong Airlines flight.

The Delhi police have been searching for him since 2015 after registering a case for allegedly helping several people to get fake passports. Sources said that the Delhi police had furnished his identity details to all airports in the country to nab him.

Soon after Godwin was secured, immigration officials alerted the Delhi police. A police team from Delhi is coming to arrest Godwin, added airport sources.
