Captain Suresh is new Commandant of Embarkation HQ
After successfully tenanting the appointment of the Commandant of Embarkation Headquarters Chennai for four years, Commodore MT Ramesh relinquished the appointment on his superannuation and handed over the baton to Captain J Suresh on Thursday after an impressive ceremony befitting the occasion.

Commodore MT Ramesh, has had an illustrious career spanning about 31 years in the Indian Navy. An alumnus of Defence Services Staff College Wellington and College of Naval Warfare, Mumbai, he is also a postgraduate in Defence Studies from Madras University.
He was awarded with the Commendation by Chief of Army Staff, Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief (Southern Naval Command) and Chairman, Chiefs of Staff Committee for his meritorious service.
Embarkation Headquarters Chennai will now be headed by Captain J Suresh. Commissioned in July 1991, the officer is an illustrious alumnus of Sainik School Amaravathinagar, National Defence Academy and Higher Defence Management Course.
He has also attended two highly acclaimed Naval courses in the USA.
