TVS hires teen who caught chain snatcher

Surya Kumar also received a cheque for Rs 2 lakh from the Rotary Club Chennai Towers and another cheque for Rs 1 lakh cheque from the SRM Group. Surya was in the news after he caught Janaki Raman when the latter was trying to flee after snatching a gold chain from Dr Amudha in D Block, Anna Nagar.

Viswanathan had given Surya a cash reward on April 19. The teen had then expressed his desire to work in a company. The city police chief had then referred his case to a few companies. On Thursday, the Commissioner handed over the appointment order to Surya in the presence of the general manager (HR) of TVS Sundaram Motors.
