Temple employees stage robbery drama, arrested
Four employees of Sornapuri Devangar temple trust, who staged a robbery drama to swindle the money collected for temple renovation, in Korukkupet were arrested on Friday.

Police said the trust managing the Ramalinga Soudeshwari Temple on Pasuvan Street in Korukkupet had collected Rs 1.80 lakh as donation from the devotees for the renovation work at the temple, which is underway.
But on Friday night, manager of the trust Krishnamoorthy and employees Govindaraj, Jayaprakash and Venkatesh claimed that two men wearing helmet stormed into the trust office on the temple premises and robbed Rs 1.80 lakh at knifepoint.
However, the Korukkupet police, which registered a case suspected a foul play as the CCTV footage in the temple revealed no suspicious movement of people and grilled the duo.
Thereafter, the duo confessed to staging a drama to make people believe that the money was stolen after swindling it.
Police arrested them and recovered the stolen money from them. After investigation, the four men was remanded in judicial custody.
